Sapori Almond Ricciarelli, Mandorla, 7.05 oz

The almond-flavored Ricciarelli are named after Ricciardetto della Gherardesca who, returning from the Crusades, brought back to Tuscany some almond paste sweets which were immediately unquestioned success. Even today, almonds are slowly ground in stone to make the dough soft and delicate and ready to be covered with a sweet layer of sugar.

INGREDIENTS: sugar 43%, almonds 41%, water, dietary fiber, icing sugar 6% (sugar - corn starch), egg white , aromas, raising agent: ammonium acid carbonate, salt, preservative : sorbic acid. May contain wheat , soy, milk and other nuts .

I sent a email when I first recieved these along with photos never got a reply, I ordered 3 boxes of Ricciarelli cookies wich is my maiden name 1 box was open 1 box was crushed on the corner 1 box was fine. These were gifts so not happy. Price was great.

Delicious treat

I tasted these treats (originated in Sienna) during a trip to Rome. They were delicious and I resolved to find them in the US after returning to PA. This was not easy and prices were often significantly inflated. Fortunately I found this source for a tasty product at a fair price (similar to Rome). The service was terrific, the cookies arrived promptly and in tact. I highly recommend this product and this excellent vendor.
