Taste changes

I bought online and enjoyed it with my favorite pizza but couldn't eat the rest from the jar after couple of days, it taste wieird and some bitterness in it or was it just me! Also the color changes to like it turning blackish , the discoloration and taste scared me so i tossed it to trash
