Bravo!

I was actually given a Frog machine while visiting a customer in Tuscany. I put it in my rental car and there it stayed until I flew from Rome to Venice. I carried it on the airplane, from the plane to the water taxi, across two canal bridges to my hotel room, and then all the way back home to California.

They are heavy! But of course, shipping from Italy would have cost “molti soldi” especially to pack it up so it didn’t break. Not to mention that I didn’t have the original box, because when I told my customer that I liked his Frog, he unplugged it and gave it to me. He gave me his precious Frog right off his office bar, and he insisted that I accept it. Be careful in Italy, people are too nice and too generous!

Of course I had to convert the electrical, and for 5 years I have been making Frog espresso every day. When I see reviews that these are “good machines for a novice” I realize this is just some American still trying to understand true espresso. The Frog makes real Italian espresso, as close as you can get at home. The pump delivers 9 bars of pressure, compared to much less for those silly Nespresso machines.

And then, two weeks ago I discovered this accessory holder; I had no idea these existed. I love it, the cost was only about $20, and the service from Piccolo’s was SUPURB! Piccolo’s is now on my radar for all things Italian. Bravo, brava, bravissimo! Grazie tante!
